Job summary

Vibe Recruit is assisting an established automotive business to recruit an experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic. The role focuses on hands-on work including MOTs, diagnostics, servicing and repairs within a supportive workshop.

You will carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards, diagnose faults, perform brake and suspension work, and keep detailed records while advising customers on required additional work. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician.
• An MOT Tester qualification is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in your workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose mechanical faults.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out brake, suspension and mechanical repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.

Vibe Recruit are currently working with a well-established automotive business who are looking for an experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Mechanic who enjoys a hands-on role and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

You will be working on a variety of vehicles, carrying out MOTs, diagnostics, servicing and repairs within a friendly and supportive workshop environment.

The Role
