Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd in Widnes is seeking an experienced MOT Tester & Mechanic to join a growing local business. The role covers MOT testing, servicing, diagnostics and comprehensive repairs in a busy workshop.

We invite motivated individuals who can deliver quality workmanship, work well in a team, and contribute to a loyal customer base. Training and progression opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• Qualified MOT tester with broad mechanical experience
• Strong diagnostic skills on modern vehicles
• Team-oriented and willing to learn new techniques

Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards
• Service, maintain and repair a wide range of vehicles
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Brakes, suspension and other mechanical repairs
• Keep accurate MOT and repair records
• Work with workshop and admin to keep jobs moving
• Deliver high standard of workmanship to customers

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8.30- 5:00 Saturday 8.30- 2:00

About The Role:

• Carrying out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Brakes, suspension and general mechanical repairs
• Keeping accurate MOT and repair records
• Working alongside our workshop and admin team to keep jobs moving
• Delivering the high standard of workmanship our customers expect

About you:

• Ideally, you will already be a qualified MOT Tester with good all- round mechanical experience
• Strong diagnostic skills and comfortable working on modern vehicles

If you are an experienced mechanic and are the right fit for our team, we are willing to put you through your MOT Tester qualification.
