Job summary

The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust in Dudley is seeking a senior pharmacist to join the Medicines Optimisation Support Hub (MOSH) within the Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy Team. You will provide leadership, clinical advice, and governance support to MOSH Officers and MOSH supervisor, delivering medicines optimisation projects across GP practices and PCNs, with a focus on patient safety.

This part‑time, permanent post is based at Brierley Hill Health and Social Care Centre and offers

Qualifications

• Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent (BPharm).
• Sufficient Post Qualification Experience.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy/Prescribing Studies or equivalent.
• Mandatory registration with GPhC.
• Proficient IT use (MS Office/Outlook/Excel).
• Independent prescribing within competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical audits, medication reviews and monitoring for patient safety.
• General practice role: minimum 1 day per week (0.2 WTE).
• Advise practices on medicines optimisation and prescribing.
• Line management of MOSH Operational Manager (AfC Band 6).
• Support MOSH team in delivering medicines optimisation workplan.
• Lead quality improvement in antimicrobial stewardship and other areas.
• Reduce risk through direct patient care and central reviews.
• Serve as clinical contact for MOSH medicines queries.
• Coordinate with Pharmaceutical Adviser Community Pharmacy and Public Health.
