Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Mental Health Pharmacist to lead medicines optimisation on mental health inpatient wards. You will provide expert medicines advice, conduct complex reviews and work with MDTs to improve treatment outcomes.

You will line-manage senior inpatient pharmacists and technicians, oversee medicines supply, and drive audits, policy development and service improvements across the Trust.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification such as Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or Aston Diploma in Psychiatric Pharmacy
• Current and continued GPhC registration and membership
• Experience in mental health care settings and MDT delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation across mental health inpatient wards
• Manage day-to-day medicines management, dispensary and medicines supply services across the Trust
• Line-manage the Senior Mental Health Pharmacist inpatient and Specialist Pharmacy Technicians
• Provide specialist medicines advice and undertake complex medication reviews
• Lead audits, quality improvement and research projects
• Develop and implement medicines policies, guidelines and protocols
• Educate and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
• Contribute to medicines safety investigations and risk management
