Job summary

Black Country Integrated Care Board is seeking an experienced pharmacist to lead medicines optimisation, prescribing improvement and clinical leadership across the Prescribing Support Team (Localities). You will guide multidisciplinary colleagues and work with GPs, community and secondary care to deliver safe, cost-effective prescribing and better patient outcomes.

As a Senior Prescribing Advisor, you will influence strategic decisions, drive antimicrobial stewardship and support QIPP

Qualifications

Significant post-registration experience.
Experience in medicines optimisation and prescribing quality.
Ability to lead and develop teams of pharmacists and technicians.
Strong stakeholder engagement across primary and secondary care.
Experience delivering strategic plans and policy implementation.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for medicines optimisation within the locality.
Lead delivery of prescribing guidance, formulary and safety initiatives.
Develop policies and strategies and manage a multidisciplinary team.
Engage with prescribers and locality leaders to improve patient outcomes.
Support organisational priorities including financial sustainability and digital transformation.
