Job summary

The Nottingham Building Society is seeking a Head of Mortgage Underwriting at our Nottingham head office. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working with at least two days in the office.

You will shape the origination and underwriting strategy, lead high-performing teams, ensure compliance and governance, and drive improvements across mortgage journeys. Qualifications

• Extensive experience across mortgage origination, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of responsible lending and customer servicing best practice.
• In-depth knowledge of MCOB, FCA requirements and financial crime controls.
• Proven experience leading operational teams and coaching colleagues to reach their potential.
• Analytical skills to interpret MI, KPIs and performance data.
