Job summary

The Nottingham Building Society is seeking a Head of Mortgage Underwriting at Head Office, Nottingham. This full-time role combines leadership of underwriting teams with strategic oversight of mortgage origination, portfolio management and risk controls.

Hybrid working requires a minimum of two days on-site per week. You will drive customer-focused outcomes, enhance operational resilience and collaborate with brokers, lenders and compliance functions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience across mortgage origination, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of responsible lending, mortgage operations and customer servicing.
• Proven experience leading high-performing operational teams and coaching colleagues.

• Shape and deliver the Mortgage Origination and Underwriting strategy.
