Job summary

RECfinancial seeks an organised Assistant Management Accountant to join a busy finance team on a temporary, full-time basis. The role supports monthly management accounts, fixed asset accounting, and various reporting tasks in a dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will contribute to month-end processes, asset and stock reconciliations, accruals/prepayments, and year-end activities, while developing exposure across projects and audits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting month-end management accounts
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Confidence working with financial systems and Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills with colleagues and customers
• A positive, reliable, and proactive approach
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider finance team

Responsibilities

• Support with month end reporting
• Complete the monthly fixed asset month-end process
• Make ad-hoc adjustments to Fixed Asset Register records
• Maintain accurate filing and documentation
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including commentary and notes
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including asset and stock reconciliations
• Process accruals and prepayments
• Prepare income reports and stock sheets
• Assist with the year-end process and respond to audit requests
• Support the Finance Director and Management Accounts team with ad-hoc projects and tasks
