Job summary

Motorclean Ltd is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will work closely with the Group Management Accountant to support financial reporting, variance analysis, and month-end processes in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include month-end support, balance sheet reconciliations, and profitability reporting. We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, private medical insurance, and a pension with life assurance, plus ACCA study support.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification in finance or accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Understanding of transactional finance and month-end processes.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical mindset.
• Ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts preparation.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis between actuals and forecasts.
• Prepare KPI reports for operational decisions.
• Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.
• Identify process improvements in accounting workflows.

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance team. You will work closely with the Group Management Accountant to support financial reporting, variance analysis, and month‑end processes. Key Responsibilities

• Month‑End Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, accruals, and prepayments.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Maintain and reconcile key balance sheet accounts regularly.
• Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain variances between actual spend and forecast budgets.
• Profitability Reporting: Prepare regular KPIs to support operational decision‑making.
• Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement ways to streamline standard accounting workflows.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualification Status: Post‑graduate finance related.
• Technical Excellence: Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, knowledge of Access Dimensions (beneficial).
• Relevant Experience: Understanding of transactional finance and month‑end processes.
• Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot trends and errors in complex data.
• Communication Skills: Confidence to explain financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
