Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board advertises a locum General Practitioner role to cover MoD assignments at Reserves Catterick, North Yorkshire. The position involves PHC clinics for military personnel, OH fitness assessments, and reporting in line with MOD policy.

The candidate must hold GMC registration with no restrictions, have an in-date annual appraisal, and Level 3 safeguarding training, plus MOD and NHS Performer List credentials. Locum pay rates apply.

Qualifications

• GMC registration on main and GP register with no restrictions.
• Current, satisfactory annual appraisal in line with GMP requirements.
• Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults Level 3 training.
• Previous MOD experience.
• Must be on the UK NHS Performers List and provide a Performer number.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Primary Healthcare clinics for Military personnel and entitled personnel.
• Examinations and Occupational Health fitness for work assessments.
• Inform local medical authority of any case affecting a serviceperson's duties.
• Complete reports and documentation per MOD policy or other government requirements.
• Attend management reviews or case conferences with PHC and/or line management.
