Job summary

The RAC is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our SMR division. You’ll perform scheduled, pre-booked jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, diagnostic tools, and support, delivering high-quality service to members at driveways and workplaces across the South East.

Expect a base salary of £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus guaranteed overtime and opportunities for additional overtime. The role offers a 40-hour week with some weekend work and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
