Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will work on pre-booked appointments across Esher and surrounding areas, delivering planned maintenance and diagnostics with professional service.

You’ll perform routine servicing, complex diagnostics, and in-depth repairs, with access to advanced tools and a RAC van. A full UK driving licence and relevant experience are essential for this mobile role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is required or preferred.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics.
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
• Ensure vehicle safety checks meet RAC standards.
