Job summary

RAC in the United Kingdom is seeking Mobile Mechanics for its SMR division. You will work on pre-booked servicing and diagnostics at customers’ driveways or car parks, delivering high-quality repairs with the support of a fully equipped RAC van.

You’ll join a structured development path, earn a competitive base salary of £40,170 with earnings up to £52,000, and gain flexible overtime options, weekend work, and generous holiday provisions, all while upholding RAC standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• Or 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards
