Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the East of England. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs with a fully equipped RAC van, carrying out diagnostics, servicing and in-depth repairs on site, away from emergencies.

Base salary £40,178 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, plus guaranteed overtime and opportunities. 40-hour week, 1 in 4 Saturdays; full UK driving licence and relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics and in-depth repairs.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Perform vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
