Job summary

RAC is recruiting Mobile Mechanics to join the SMR division covering Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea and surrounding areas. You will work from a fully equipped RAC van, carrying out pre-booked servicing, diagnostics and repairs at members' driveways or workplaces with provided tools and support.

The role emphasizes planned work, not emergency callouts, offering structured development, a clear schedule, and opportunities for overtime and career progression within a trusted national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics on-site at members' locations.
• Perform in-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
