Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division. You will perform planned servicing and repairs on members’ vehicles, following pre-booked schedules and using mobile diagnostics on-site.

Working in the Gloucester cluster, you’ll cover local areas with a focus on quality, safety, and customer service. The role emphasizes independence, structured development, and ongoing accreditation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
