Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR division with a Mobile Vehicle Technician role focused on planned, on-site repairs and servicing for members. You’ll work on a pre-booked schedule across local clusters, using advanced diagnostic tools and mobile equipment to deliver quality service with safety as a priority.

Expect a base salary around £45,378 with on-target earnings up to £57,000, and overtime options that can increase pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with <6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs that would typically be done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
• Work from a clearly planned schedule with pre-booked jobs.
