Job summary

RAC is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division. You’ll work on pre-booked jobs across the Harlow cluster, from driveways to car parks, using a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics.

We offer a base salary of £40,170 with on-target earnings up to £52,000, guaranteed overtime, 40 hours per week, and 1 in 4 Saturdays. Additional benefits include pension, life assurance, discounted schemes and flexible holiday.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Alternatively 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
• Work on pre-booked schedules with planned jobs.

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance
