Job summary

You’ll join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR division, covering local areas in the Leeds cluster with pre-booked jobs, not emergency callouts. You’ll perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and in-depth repairs with the tools and support you need to deliver quality work.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, 40-hour weeks, and a pathway to overtime and bonuses. Core hours are 8:30–17:00, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, offering independence and stability.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing of vehicles on client premises or driveways.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide safety checks and recommendations to members.
