Job summary

RAC in the SMR division is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician to join the Leeds cluster. This role focuses on planned, pre-booked servicing and repairs delivered at members' driveways or workplaces, with no emergency callouts.

You’ll work a structured schedule using modern diagnostics, carry out routine servicing, in-depth repairs, and provide clear advice. The 40-hour week runs Monday to Saturday with core hours 8:30am–5:00pm, and a guaranteed overtime option plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
