Job summary

You will join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in the SMR Division, covering areas like Leeds and Wakefield. You’ll operate on a pre-booked schedule with a fully equipped RAC van and advanced diagnostics, focusing on planned maintenance and repairs rather than emergencies.

Expect a 40-hour week with core hours and overtime opportunities; you’ll earn a competitive base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, plus benefits and progression within a national organisation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience required as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing.
• Perform diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Execute in-depth repairs normally done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
