Job summary

RAC is expanding its SMR Division with Mobile Vehicle Technicians. You’ll operate on a planned schedule across Leeds and surrounding areas, performing routine servicing, diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs away from a workshop.

Expect a fully equipped RAC van, flexible 40-hour weeks, and opportunities for overtime and bonuses. Join a team delivering high-quality service directly to members’ driveways and workplaces.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-booked appointments with clear digital schedule.
• Carry out routine servicing and diagnostics using mobile equipment.
• Perform in-depth repairs typically done in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations post-inspection.
• Conduct vehicle safety checks aligned with RAC standards.
