Job summary

The RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division in the Leeds area. You’ll work on a scheduled plan with pre-booked jobs, servicing and repairing vehicles at customers’ driveways or workplaces. No emergency callouts, just organized work delivered to RAC standards.

You’ll perform diagnostics with advanced mobile equipment, complete in‑depth repairs, and offer clear member guidance. Competitive base salary and overtime available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In‑depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
