Job summary

The RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for the SMR division in the Leeds cluster. You will work on pre‑booked jobs, conducting routine servicing, diagnostics, and in‑depth repairs at members’ driveways or workplaces.

You’ll benefit from a structured schedule, a fully equipped RAC van, and ongoing training in diagnostic skills. You’ll operate in a 40‑hour week with some Saturdays, earning a base of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, and opt‑in overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and vehicle diagnostics.
• In‑depth repairs that may be completed in a workshop.
• Provide member advice and recommendations after inspection.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks to RAC standards.
