Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will conduct pre-booked servicing and diagnostics on a scheduled list of jobs across the Leeds area, avoiding reactive callouts and roadside recoveries.

You’ll work with a fully equipped RAC van, mobile diagnostics, and a structured workflow. Expect 40-hour weeks with core hours 8:30–17:00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays; base salary £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, plus overtime, bonuses, and a benefits pack designed to support your

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing.
• Diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment.
• In-depth repairs you’d normally complete in a workshop.
• Member advice and recommendations based on your inspection.
• Vehicle safety checks aligned to RAC standards.
