RAC is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Technician for its SMR division. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics with mobile tools, and in-depth on-site repairs for members in the Stevenage cluster and surrounding areas.

The role offers a base salary of £40,170 with OTE up to £52,000, plus guaranteed overtime, 40-hour weeks, and a 4-in-4 Saturday pattern. You’ll use advanced diagnostics and receive training while progressing toward accreditation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.
• You’ll carry out routine servicing, diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment, and in-depth repairs.
• There are no emergency callouts; work is pre-booked with time estimates and parts ordering built in.
