Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Mobile Vehicle Technician to join our expanding Mobile Expert team. You’ll service, maintain and repair vehicles at customers’ homes and workplaces, working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart tech to keep the nation moving.

You’ll manage your day, build trusted customer relationships and progress with structured induction, ongoing training, and clear career pathways within our growing mobile business.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 or 3 in vehicle maintenance or time-served experience.
• Proven experience in vehicle servicing & maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services.
• Battery and Dashcam fitting.
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics.
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing.
• Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing.

• On-target earnings up to £33,725
• Comprising a base salary of £31,025
• A monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £2,700 Per year
• 44 hour week, working 8am - 6pm shifts over 5 days, including 1 in 2 weekends

Working from a fully equipped van and supported by smart technology, you'll manage your own day, build trusted customer relationships and use your technical skills to keep the nation moving.

What you’ll be doing

No two days are the same as you use your technical expertise across a wide range of servicing, maintenance and repair work, helping to keep the nation moving.

• Interim, Full and Major vehicle services
• Battery and Dashcam fitting
• Vehicle inspections and fault diagnostics
• Tyre fitting, puncture repairs and wheel balancing
• Air conditioning servicing and re-gassing

What we’re looking for

• NVQ level 2 or level 3 in vehicle maintenance & repair (or time-served experience)
• Proven experience in a vehicle servicing & maintenance role
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Great communication skills and confidence dealing with customers
