Job summary

The AA is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to deliver first-class service and repair work at customers’ homes or workplaces across its local area.

You will attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs with full training and ongoing support to help you succeed in a varied and rewarding role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend booked appointments and breakdowns, performing inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-site repairs.
• Explain diagnostics and repairs clearly to customers to foster confidence.
• Work independently across multiple locations and environments.

Skills

Proven experience in workshop/mobile

Full UK Category B driving licence

Flexibility to work shifts

Education

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

Enjoy a great work-life balance with a 40-hour working week, worked over a 5-day rota between Monday and Saturday. Shifts are scheduled between 8am and 8pm, with optional overtime available at the end of your shift or on your rest days.

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.

• Clearly explain diagnostics and repairs so customers feel confident and informed

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at customer appointments and roadside locations
