Job summary

AA is hiring a Mobile Mechanic to deliver first-class service and repair work at customers' homes or workplaces.

You’ll attend booked appointments and breakdowns, carry out diagnostics, servicing and on-the-spot repairs, and work independently across multiple locations with full training and ongoing support.

This varied, independent and rewarding role offers opportunities for growth within the AA.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Explain diagnostics and repairs to customers clearly so they feel informed.
• Work independently across multiple locations and environments.
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at appointments and roadside locations.

Job description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.

• Clearly explain diagnostics and repairs so customers feel confident and informed
• Work independently across multiple locations and environments
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at customer appointments and roadside locations

• Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for our members

• Take ownership of your local area, building relationships and creating opportunities to grow demand
