Job summary

The AA is seeking Mobile Mechanics in the UK for Level 2/Level 3 roles with a 40-hour week across a 5-day rota (Mon-Sat), 8am–8pm, with optional overtime. You will visit customers at home or workplaces to inspect, diagnose, service, replace brakes, and perform on-the-spot repairs with full training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs.
• Explain diagnostics and repairs clearly to customers.
• Work independently across multiple locations and environments.
• Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for members.
• Take ownership of your local area, building relationships to grow demand.

Education

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

Full UK Category B driving licence

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.
