Job summary

The AA is hiring a Mobile Mechanic to serve customers in Leicester and Northampton. You will attend booked appointments and breakdowns, perform diagnostics, servicing, and on-the-spot repairs, and represent the company at customers' homes or workplaces.

You’ll work a 40-hour week on a 5-day rota, with shifts between 8am and 8pm, and optional overtime. Full training, a company van, uniform, and industry-leading tools are provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Attend booked appointments and breakdowns at customers' homes or workplaces.
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs.
• Explain diagnostics and repairs clearly to customers and maintain a high level of customer service.

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.
