Job summary

The Automobile Association is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to deliver high-quality service and repair work at customers' homes or workplaces across a 5-day rota. You will attend booked appointments and breakdowns, performing diagnostics, servicing and on-the-spot repairs with full training and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points)
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first-class service and repair work at customers' homes or workplaces.
• Attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns.
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs.
• Explain diagnostics and repairs clearly to customers.
• Work independently across multiple locations and environments.
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at customer appointments and roadside locations.

Education

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience)

Job description

Enjoy a great work-life balance with a 40-hour working week, worked over a 5-day rota between Monday and Saturday. Shifts are scheduled between 8am and 8pm, with optional overtime available at the end of your shift or on your rest days.

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.
