Job summary

The AA is hiring a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic in Durham, United Kingdom to deliver on-site service and repair work at customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend booked appointments and breakdowns, performing inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacements and on-the-spot repairs, with full training and ongoing support to help you succeed in a varied and rewarding role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clearly explain diagnostics and repairs so customers feel confident and informed
• Work independently across multiple locations and environments
• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at customer appointments and roadside locations

Job description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.
