Job summary

The AA is hiring a Mobile Mechanic to service customers at their homes or workplaces. You will attend booked appointments and breakdowns, carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing and on-the-spot repairs, with training and ongoing support.

We offer a 40-hour week on a 5-day rota from Monday to Saturday, with shifts 8am–8pm and optional overtime. Benefits include a company van, tools, 23 days holiday, pension and career progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a workshop or mobile mechanic environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Full UK Category B driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues at customer appointments and roadside locations.
• Carry out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs.
• Represent the AA as a trusted expert and reassuring presence for our members.

Job Description

As a Mobile Mechanic, you'll be the friendly face delivering first-class service and repair work at our customers' homes or workplaces.

You'll attend a mix of booked appointments and breakdowns, carrying out inspections, diagnostics, servicing, brake replacement and on-the-spot repairs, helping to keep our customers moving safely and confidently.

With full training and ongoing support, you'll have everything you need to succeed in a varied, independent and rewarding role.
