Job summary

Education Authority currently seeks a Mobile Cook to provide safe, hygienic cooking across school settings in the Banbridge and Lurgan area. You will assist the Senior/Unit Catering Supervisor with meal preparation, menu planning, portion control and special dietary requirements.

The role covers 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a retainer paid during school holidays. HP/H&S duties and staff supervision are included as part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent, or two years of catering experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements.
• Willingness to undertake job-related training.
• Access to suitable transport to fulfil mobility requirements of the post.

Responsibilities

• Skilled cooking for the full range of meals and menus.
• Record keeping and hygiene/food safety management (HACCP).
• Supervision of staff and operation of service points.

Education
