Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform expert roadside repairs, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support. You’ll start and finish from home, work in your local area and cover shifts averaging around 40 hours per week with potential overtime.

You’ll receive a RAC van, fuel card, uniform, essential tools and a diagnostic kit from day one. Applicants should have Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus

Qualifications

• Two+ years' experience as a Roadside Technician or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with relevant hands-on tasks.
• Full UK driving license with fewest points (≤5)

Responsibilities

• Provide roadside repairs, diagnostics and breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish days at home with a 40-hour workweek on average.
• Use provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, diagnostic kit and tools on every call.
