Job summary

The RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Bristol cluster. You’ll perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, starting and finishing from home with a local area focus.

With a Level 2 qualification and at least 2 years of post-qualification experience, you’ll work a 40-hour week with optional overtime. You’ll receive a van, fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit from day one.

Qualifications

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• A customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at home; manage local calls and drive time efficiently.
• Use provided tools and diagnostic kit to get members back on the road.
