Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, starting and ending your day from home with demand-led shifts averaging around 40 hours weekly.

A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience, or 5+ years in vehicle maintenance with a full UK licence, are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years' experience
• 5+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic with full UK driving licence and fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK.
• Deliver emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members.
• Start and finish your day at home, with shifts averaging 40 hours per week and optional overtime.
