Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to perform diagnostics, repairs and breakdown support across the UK. You will work within the Patrol division, starting and finishing from home and using a RAC van and diagnostic toolkit provided by the employer.

The role requires Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent (or 5+ years as a Technician) and a clean UK driving licence. Shifts are demand-led with around 40 hours weekly and optional overtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, with RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit provided.
