Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Relief Chef/Catering Manager to support our school-site teams in the Hampton area. This mobile, term-time role (39 weeks/year) is family-friendly with 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and requires your own transport.

The position offers £17.40 per hour with responsibilities across food preparation, health and safety compliance, and team supervision. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong culinary skills, leadership, cost control, and a commitment to Caterlink’s

Qualifications

Proven experience commensurate with the role.
Excellent creative culinary skills.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills.
Proficiency in food cost management.
Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations.
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
To ensure that our locations meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
To ensure that the company’s reputation for excellent food and service is enhanced with the client and customers and expectations are consistently exceeded.
To support with the day-to-day running of the location and supervising teams including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
