Job summary

Selwood Limited is seeking a Mobile Fitter for our Birmingham branch, covering the surrounding region. You will perform mechanical pump maintenance at customer sites and in-branch, joining a call-out rota with standby and overtime pay.

Base salary £38,515 with potential earnings up to £48,007, depending on overtime and call-out allowances. The role requires safe working practices, PPE knowledge, and strong communication with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience with engines or mechanical engineering background
• Experience on site with customers and in a workshop beneficial
• Listen, take on board information, and translate into practical solutions
• Willingness to grow within the role and pursue training opportunities
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less)

Responsibilities

• Work safely with PPE required as a priority.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
• Obtain site signatures and names to ensure smooth task processing.
• Maintain housekeeping of work areas and vehicles.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports for safety.
• Perform tasks as instructed or trained in a timely manner.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
