Job summary

Selwood Ltd is seeking a Mobile Fitter for our Birmingham branch covering the surrounding region. You will perform Mechanical Pump Maintenance at customer sites and within the branch, with a call-out rota and standby allowance. Base salary £38,515 with potential earnings up to £48,007, including overtime and call-out payments.

This role involves visiting sites, handling maintenance tasks safely, and adhering to PPE and company procedures. Overtime opportunities and a supportive team are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience working with engines or a mechanical engineering background.
• Experience on-site with customers and in a workshop is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less).

Responsibilities

• Work safely as a priority with PPE requirements is critical.
• Communicate accurately with work colleagues and customers alike.
• Obtain signatures and names from sites to ensure smooth processing of tasks.
• Keep a good standard of housekeeping; ensure work areas and vehicles are kept in good order and clean.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports to ensure safety.
• Carry out all given tasks as set out by instructions or training in a timely manner.
• Show understanding of company policies and procedures.
