Selwood is hiring a Mobile Fitter to join the team at our Edinburgh branch, covering the surrounding region. You will perform mechanical pump maintenance at customer sites and in-branch as needed, operating on a call-out rota with standby allowances and good overtime pay.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, and a background in engines or mechanical engineering. A full UK driving licence (6 points max) is required, with travel to sites for breakdowns.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with engines or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience working in a plant environment on site with customers is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and develop within the role.
• Full UK driving license (with 6 points or less).

Responsabilités

• Carry out Mechanical Pump Maintenance at customer sites and within the branch.
• Work on a call-out rota with standby allowance and overtime payments.
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance on site.
• Obtain signatures/names from sites for smooth task processing.
• Keep vehicles and work areas clean and organized.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports.
• Follow instructions and training to complete tasks timely.
