Job summary

Speedy Hire is seeking a Mobile Powered Access Engineer to cover Bristol and surrounding areas. You will service, refurbish and repair powered access equipment, responding to emergency breakdowns and performing scheduled maintenance. The role supports a 4.5 day week with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

You will operate across customer sites, uphold ESG commitments, and contribute to delivering excellent service while advancing your technical career within a leading UK hire provider.

Qualifications

• CAP registration preferred; willingness to attain status if not held.
• Experience servicing powered access equipment (Niftylift/Skyjack/Genie/JLG).
• Ability to estimate repairs with attention to detail.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic drawings.
• Previous engineering experience in powered access.
• Support the ESG Strategy and Decade to Deliver program.

Responsibilities

Mobile Powered Access Engineer - Bristol - Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00 - 4.5 Day Week

As a Mobile Powered Access Engineer covering Bristoland surrounding areas, you will be responsible for the service, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of our powered access equipment based at our customers sites. We offer our customers the highest level of care, therefore this role will involve attending emergency breakdown calls as well as scheduled service maintenance. You will ensure that our customers are using safe and reliable equipment so that they can count on us to deliver customer excellence.

What youll need:

• Ideally be CAP registered
• Previous experience in working on powered access equipment such as Niftylift, Skyjack, Genie and JLG would be an advantage
• Experience in estimating repairs to be carried out with a keen eye for detail
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics
• Able to read electrical / hydraulic drawings, understanding both systems
• Previous engineering experience within powered access
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver.
