Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a hands-on team player to join our site team in Ellington. You will help operate and maintain the processing area, ensuring the machine is cleaned and kept in good working order with PPE provided.

Responsibilities include loading shovel operation (where trained), recording defects, promoting recycling and recovery, keeping waste out of landfill, and maintaining strict pedestrian and vehicle segregation while complying with health, safety, permit and environmental legislation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience of operating loading shovel preferred but full training will be given.

• Manage operation of loading shovel and other mobile plant if trained.
• Record and report defects.
• Maximise recycling and recovery while minimising waste to landfill.

Job description

What will I be doing?

You will be expected to clean down the processing machine which is very dusty but the relevant PPE will be provided for carrying out this task.

• To manage the operation of loading shovel, and if appropriately trained, any other mobile plant in use.
• To record and report any defects.
• To ensure the maximisation of recycling and recovery within the facility, whilst minimising the amount of waste that is sent to landfill.
• To always ensure pedestrian and vehicle segregation.
• Ensuring the full compliance with all health and safety, permit and environmental legislation.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
You will need:

• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience of operating loading shovel preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
