Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a site operative in the United Kingdom to assist public customers and support waste site operations. You will use a customer-focused approach to help maximise material recovery and maintain a safe, compliant site environment.

Responsibilities include operating mobile plant, maintaining records, coordinating container exchanges, and keeping the site tidy while covering holidays and sick leave as required.

Qualifications

• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideal prior mobile plant use is desirable; full training will be given.
• Flexible approach to work to cover holiday and sick days.
• Full Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and guide the public on site use to maximise material recovery.
• Operate mobile plant as needed.
• Maintain accurate records for removal of materials from the site.
• Coordinate container exchanges by booking loads to keep space for storage.
• Keep the site tidy within assigned areas.
• Support health, safety and welfare compliance for staff and others.
• Collaborate with SUEZ team to meet site permits and policies, and perform other duties within scope.

Job description

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

• A flexible approach is required
• Operating Mobile Plant
• Full driving licenseis required
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

• With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
• What you will need is:
