Job summary

SUEZ is seeking a proactive team player to join the Ashington site to support day-to-day operations. You will assist with loading shovel operation and ensure safety and compliance while protecting the environment.

Full training will be provided; strong communication is essential as you report defects, maintain records, and help maximise recycling and minimise waste sent to landfill.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience operating a loading shovel preferred but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage operation of loading shovel and any other mobile plant if trained.
• Clean down processing machine and report defects.
• Maximise recycling and recovery while minimising waste to landfill.
• Ensure pedestrian and vehicle segregation.
• Comply with health, safety, permit and environmental legislation.

Job description

What will I be doing?

You will be expected to clean down the processing machine which is very dusty but the relevant PPE will be provided for carrying out this task.

• To manage the operation of loading shovel, and if appropriately trained, any other mobile plant in use.
• To record and report any defects.
• To ensure the maximisation of recycling and recovery within the facility, whilst minimising the amount of waste that is sent to landfill.
• To always ensure pedestrian and vehicle segregation.
• Ensuring the full compliance with all health and safety, permit and environmental legislation.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
You will need:

• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Experience of operating loading shovel preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
