Job summary

SUEZ UK is seeking a proactive site operative at our Clifton site to deliver excellent customer service and support efficient materials recovery. You will work as part of the on-site team, handling records, container exchanges, and daily site duties.

Full driving licence is required, with training provided for mobile plant use. A flexible approach to shifts and compliance with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
• Full Driving Licence is required.
• Experience with mobile plant preferred; training will be provided.
• IOSH health and safety qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public on site to maximise material recovery.
• Operate mobile plant as required.
• Maintain accurate site records and manage container exchanges.
• Keep the site tidy and compliant with safety policies.
• Support health, safety and welfare compliance for all staff and visitors.
• Co-operate with the team to meet site permits and legislation.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of the job role.

Job description

What will I be doing?

Providing excellent levels of customer service, you will advise and assist members of the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of materials they are depositing, which will involve:

• A flexible approach is required
• Operating Mobile Plant
• Full driving licenseis required
• Maintaining accurate records for the removal of materials from the site.
• Controlling the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
• Maintaining a tidy site within his/her areas of responsibility.
• Ensuring SUEZ complies fully with its legal duties in respect of the health, safety and welfare of its employees and of other people who may be affected by his/her actions or omissions.
• Co-operating with SUEZ and with other employees in order to comply with the site permit, comply with all applicable legislation, and SUEZ Policies and Procedures.
• Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role.

What are the requirements?

• With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
• What you will need is:
• A good level of customer service and ability to work in a team.
• Ideally prior mobile plant use is desirable but full training will be given.
• A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
