Job summary

GAP Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled Mobile Fitter to service, maintain, and repair our fleet of plant and tool equipment. Based from a home depot, you will carry out work both in depots and on customer sites, ensuring equipment is safe and ready to perform when needed.

You will diagnose faults, complete servicing and tests, and update records. A valid driving licence, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently are essential for this high-impact role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a plant mechanic/fitter or time-served equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of heavy plant machinery maintenance.
• Able to work independently and on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a wide range of plant and tool equipment within GAP fleet.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs at depots and customer sites.
• Completing servicing, inspections, and repairs to ensure safety and reliability.
• Updating service records and completing paperwork.
• Maintaining a clean, organized vehicle and workspace.
• Supporting workshop and depot activities as required.
