Position Overview:

To respond to customer's field repair and service requests by diagnosing issues and providing comprehensive details about the problem to the customer and Finning, enabling the creation of a quote in a cost- and time-effective manner.

Job Description:

Main Job Functions

1. Provide an estimated time of arrival at the customer's site based on the job instructions from the branch, including details of customer location, machine, contact name, nature of problem, and current work situation.
2. Contact customer's site management to register arrival and presence, ensuring adherence to site procedures and requirements.
3. Diagnose the likely cause of reported equipment problems in discussion with customer operators/supervisors, using specialized equipment, to inform the customer of the work needed and provide details for the quote.
4. Identify parts required for repairs, requisition necessary parts, and determine expected delivery times to schedule any service re-visits with the customer.
5. Perform repair and service work on the machine according to the work plan, including removing and dispatching components for specialist attention, and reinstalling the original or replacement parts to meet standards.
